New Feature for Library Public Computers
Posted by ccameron on November 6, 2007
The Information Technology staff has added a new feature to all the library’s public computers. The computers will now automatically begin a logoff procedure if they are idle for 20 minutes. At twenty minutes, a message will popup indicating how many seconds you have until the computer logs off. You may cancel to stop the log off.
If the machine is still idle after 30 minutes, it will log off.
This device protects your privacy when you forget to logoff from Angel or close your files, etc. Documents saved to the desktop should not be lost. They should continue to be retrievable via the Backup folder on the D drive.
